AOC Awards Australian Distributors Altech and Compucon
AOC gathered its official distributors throughout Asia-Pacific, the Middle-East and Africa (APMEA) to celebrate positive performance and position the brand for future growth

Sydney, Australia: 28 May 2010 – AOC, one of the top global players in providing best value display technology, awarded and recognised Australian distributors at the recent AOC Win 2010 Disty Party in Beijing, China. Based in a luxury hotel, the event was attended by Australian distributors Altech and Compucon as well as New Zealand’s Ingram Micro.

The conference, which ran from April 21 – 25 2010, reviewed AOC Asia Pacific’s impressive sales growth, which averaged 49% per year from 2007 to 2009, ranking the brand 4th amongst display manufacturers across the APAC region.

In 2009 AOC increased 10% of their market share, taking the 4th place and heading a growth of a 70.2% in the LCD market [Source: IDC AP non-bundled PC Monitor Tracker Q4 2009(ex. Japan, Korea, and Taiwan)] and their Australian distributors did not go unnoticed for these achievements. Altech Computers Corporation was acknowledged and awarded Best Channel Development 2009. Compucon Computers was also recognised for their efforts receiving the award for Partnership Loyalty 2009.

Looking to future AOC will further develop its product strategy and continue to focus on delivery to customers in the areas of environmental sustainability, ergonomics and entertainment. Green credentials are confirmed by international certifications and ergonomics extend beyond attractive exterior design to operational elements like simpler controls and menus, automatic brightness adjustment and keyboard illumination. In the area of entertainment AOC continues to recognise the convergence of computing and multimedia content and devices, with features like Full HD resolution and HDMI input.

AOC staff and distributors from across APAC, the Middle East and Africa enjoyed their time in Beijing with a menagerie of social activities including gala banquets and tours of the city’s famous attractions like the Olympic site and Great Wall.
